The logarithmic EZ1198A (500 kOhms) by Yellow Parts is great in combination with humbucker pickups and other high-output pickups on an electric guitar or bass guitar.

Tips or comments about this product

As opposed to what the packaging says, this is an audio taper potentiometer.
Linear potentiometers are generally used as tone controls, whereas logarithmic potentiometers are commonly used as volume controls.
This potentiometer features a coarse shaft with 18 teeth and is only suited for coarse knobs. These knobs can be found on guitars from Japan, China, Korea, and Indonesia. For American knobs, it's best to use potentiometers by brands like Fender and CTS.

Helaas, niet de potmeter die ik ter vervanging van mijn volumepot (Gibson les Paul) zocht.

Wel prima kunnen retouren en geld terug gekregen.

Nick B. vergelijkt deze 24mm heavy duty gitaarpotmeter met een standaard 16mm elektronica potmeter. Appels en peren dus.

Ik ken deze potmeter zelf niet, maar kan me voorstellen dat dit gewoon goede Alpha's zijn met misschien een aangepast/verbeterd verloop, of een betere QA. Wie zal het zeggen.

Ik moet zeggen dat dit een erg misleidend product is.

Yellow parts zijn blijktbaar gewoon Alpha potmeters (staat op de achterkant van de potmeter gedrukt) in een mooie verpakking.
Met Alpha potmeters is zeker niets mis, maar gezien ze ook worden aangeboden voor 1,50 hier op Bax-Shop ( http://www.bax-shop.nl/gitaar-potmeters/alpha-alps500-a48-500k-logaritmische-potmeter-10mm-bushing-small ) vind ik het oplichterij.

Dit geldt tevens ook voor de lineaire potmeters.
