• ​As opposed to what the packaging says, this is an audio taper potentiometer.
• ​Linear potentiometers are generally used as tone controls, whereas logarithmic potentiometers are commonly used as volume controls.
• ​This potentiometer features a coarse shaft with 18 teeth and is only suited for coarse knobs. These knobs can be found on guitars from Japan, China, Korea, and Indonesia. For American knobs, it's best to use potentiometers by brands like Fender and CTS.
