The Rock Slide

THIS SLIDE IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.

A piece of metal that costs £43 or even £26 reduced? Are you sure? But wait...

I bought this SMALL ROCKSLIDE to help study 'Dylan Adams' Standard Tuning Slide Course' which I bought on offer (and I will never go back to boring open tunings as the technique is pure and total genius).

Why do I need a Rockslide? Because it has a tapered inner (the inside gets narrower towards the finger tip) and a cutaway on the outside where the slide rests against the third finger. This means the slide is jammed tight on the fourth finger and held in position by the third finger. But the slide also has what is called a knuckle cut-away which allows you to bend your little finger with ease.

After five minutes noodling I put my standard tubular glass and metal slides in a box marked 'Goodbye Forever' as I will never use them again – and I will probably buy another small Rockslide as a spare very soon. And even if you want to play in boring and predictable open tunings and sound just like everyone else – this is the boss of all slides.

My advice is to check you don't get one too large, so enquire by email on your finger size before buying. As an adult male I don't consider myself to have 'small' fingers but the 'Small' Rockslide fits like (part of) a glove... baba-ding.

The Rock Slide

Vergeten: hij loopt naar boven taps toe dus je kunt hen goed vastzetten op de vinger!

The Rock Slide

Eindelijk. Een slide die past rond mijn ringvinger, redelijk dik, en een uitsparing voor de onderzijde van die vinger en een uitsparing voor de vinger ernaast. Topaankoop.
