If you have fallen for the versatility of the GR-55 guitar synthesizer and cannot imagine playing without it anymore, you might want to have the GK-3 MIDI pickup permanently installed in your guitar. Roland's GK-KIT-GT3 comes to your aid! This installation kit enables you to nearly invisibly integrate the GK-3 MIDI pickup in your instrument. With this additional pickup, you will be able to create the most outrageous sounds.
Complete
The very complete GK-KIT-GT3 consists of a GK-3 pickup, a printed circuit board, an indicator LED, a 13-pin connector and the necessary cabling and hardware. It offers the same options as the controller of the GK-3, only now they are built into your guitar. In combination with the GR-55 or another Roland guitar synthesizer, you'll be able to deliver a rock-solid performance.

Mijn eerste ervaringen met deze techniek heb ik opgedaan met de externe GK3. Alhoewel de GK3 goed functioneert was ik minder tevreden over de toegankelijkheid van de knoppen tijdens het spelen. Ook was de GK3 gevoelig voor stoorsignalen.
De GT3 kit is ingebouwd door gitaar reparateur Rob uit Utrecht. Voor het zelf inbouwen moet je genoeg soldeer (veel draden) en evt frees ervaring hebben. Het resultaat is fantastisch. De knoppen zitten nu op de perfecte plaats. Door de afscherming in de gitaar zijn zowel de ingebouwde elementen als het GT3 nagenoeg ongevoelig geworden voor stoor signalen.
