General

This NitorLACK dewaxed 1st lemon shellac is a classic finish, particularly for flamenco and classical guitars, but also for other classical stringed and bowed instruments. It comes in the form of hard, brittle shellac flakes with a translucent yellow to orange-brown colour, which you dissolve in alcohol to prepare for use. Shellac is known for its good coverage and for forming a thin, high-gloss film that is highly resistant to wear and tear and UV exposure.
