This Sela Shaman Drum features a natural and authentic buffalo leather skin and is entirely handmade in India. The buffalo leather skin delivers a warm, earthy sound with a quick response and has a remarkably deep sound character. The frame of this shaman drum is made of mango wood: a lightweight but very sturdy type of wood. The frame is unique for each drum, but always comes together in the middle in the shape of a cross to form a natural handle. This drum is perfect for percussion within pagan / Celtic music styles, but also certainly for sound or music therapy, sound baths, or sound design. Included is a matching mallet with a sugarcane handle and a textile head made of different fabrics in random colours.
