Rupert Neve took the headphone circuitry of the 5060 Centerpiece Desktop Mixer and built one of his very best headphone amplifiers to date around it. Those who are familiar with Mr. Neve's work will know that's saying something. The goal of the RNHP Headphone Amplifier is to bring out the best in your headphones. With the RNHP, the days of trying to achieve an optimal headphone sound using inferior studio equipment are over.

Connections for all applications

Despite its modest appearance, the RNHP boasts impressive possibilities. It features three different inputs: an RCA, a mini jack and a balanced XLR/jack. These enable you to easily connect professional studio equipment as well as conventional players and mixers via the RCA output, not to mention laptops, smartphones, tablets and other devices via the mini jack. On the front panel, there is a headphone output that's suitable for virtually any set of headphones with an impedance of 16 ohms or more, including sets with extremely high impedance.

This device doesn't determine the sound of your headphones - it gives them power and headroom, but doesn't mess with the sound. Toch wat teleur gesteld over deze RNHP .. je verwacht top kwaliteit in alle opzichten .
maar bij het in inschakelen en het uitschakelen hoor je een erg vervelend geluid .. wat je in deze prijs klasse niet wil horen al zeker niet van dit merk .Over het geluid ga ik zeer duidelijk zijn dat is absoluut top !!! En de afwerking is prima !! Maar door dat probleem krijgt hij drie sterren . En dan ben ik nog vrij mild in deze prijs klasse moet het gewoon perfect zijn !!! Daar voor koop je een RNHP toch ?

Had sinds 2022 een koptelefoon-voorversterker van ca. € 1.000,- en kocht in 2023 de Audeze LCD-XC Carbon koptelefoon ter waarde van € 1.500,-. De combinatie van deze koptelefoon en versterker (Audio GD) heeft me nooit echt bevallen. Op de gok de RNHP geprobeerd en dat was meteen raak: de Audeze komt nu goed tot z'n recht. Het geluid is niet alleen technisch zuiver maar de RNHP laat je gewoon genieten van mooie muziek. Waar ik de koptelefoon voorheen echt snel beu was heb ik nu geen aandrang om hem af te zetten. Als high end freak ga ik soms te veel af op specificaties en uiterlijk. Als ik ooit een nieuwe koptelefoon ga beluisteren gaat "Rupert" mee als versterker:)

Fantastisch product. Hij klinkt erg transparant. De Rupert versterkt het signaal alleen en kleurt het geluid niet. Detail resolutie en resolutie in de dynamiek is er goed.

Het is niet de meest krachtigste versterker. Voor een luider volume dien je een dac te gebruiken met "gain" of met een gebalanceerd uitgang met hogere voltage.

Hij is erg klein en wordt niet warm.

Een nadeel is de ac adapter. Deze geeft een pieptoon, welke hoorbaar is met gevoelig koptelefoons. De oplossing is de Ifi Ipurifier AC. Nu is de Rupert ook bruikbaar voor iem oordoppen.

De rupert neem ik ook mee naar hifi shows om koptelefoons uit te proberen. Met een AC powerbank is de Rupert ook overal te gebruiken.
