I did have the previous version (mustang micro) but unless you have absolutely perfect colour vision, it is almost impossible to use (each single LED with many different colours). This version much better with a proper display.

Beide zijn geweldige apparaten om mee te oefenen. Komen zeker in de buurt van best klinkende hoofdtelefoon oefenversterker.
Je hoeft je ook geen zorgen te maken of hij in je gitaar past - ik heb getest met een Ibanez AZ met schuine input jack, en met een Ibanez S-serie met diepere Stratocaster-stijl input jack aan de voorkant. Past in beide, en dat zijn de meest problematische ontwerpen voor dit soort apparatuur (zie ook: BOSS draadloze systemen, en dikkere uiteinden van "standaard" kabels die niet in de S-serie passen).
Deze nieuwe versie is enorm qua features uitgebreid ten opzichte van zijn voorganger, zowel door de ingebouwde display, tuner en tap-tempo als door verbinding met de Fender Tone app. Dit laatste zorgt ervoor dat je letterlijk alle opties hebt van een "volledige" modeling-versterker, in tegenstelling tot de voorganger die slechts een kleine selectie aan sounds had.
Wat wel enigszins jammer is, is dat de Fender Tone app nog wel eens moeite heeft met verbinden en alleen in landscape-modus werkt. Daar zit dus nog een verbeterslag, maar het apparaat is ook zonder de app zeer goed te gebruiken.
