Comfort and intelligibility are what this headset microphone is about. The C544L is made specifically for energetic applications like aerobics, swimming lessons, fitness and similar applications.
Construction and technology of the C544L
The microphone has a special neck strap instead of a headband. This way it will stay put, is less visible and it is comfortable to wear. It also functions as a counterweight for the adjustable microphone.
The cardioid pickup pattern ensures that only the speech of the instructor/speaker is picked up. A shockmount ensures that handling noise, wind and other ambient noises are not picked up. A special shield on the capsule protects it against sweat, make-up, lip stick and water.
