General
Sabian never sits still, and they prove that once again with the AAX Medium Hats 14-inch. This cymbal is hammered using a new technique and a hammer with a larger striking surface. This gives the cymbal a slightly complex, darker sound. At the same time, the Canadians have ensured that more high comes out of this hihat. So this makes for a cymbal that is simultaneously sparkling high and dark low.
AAX Medium Hats 14 inches in every genre
It may well be that you play with a ska band on Sunday night, rehearse with your local grindcore band on Tuesday night, and are in a pub to accompany a balad on Wednesday night. Unfortunately, music doesn't make much money anymore, so buying three different hihats is going to be tough for you. Fortunately, the AAX Medium Hats 14-inch has been given the "Autofocus Response" treatment. This filters out unpleasant overtones and your cymbal always sounds the same, regardless of whether you hit very hard or very soft.
