The Yamaha HS-1200 hi-hat stand is an outstanding choice for any drummer looking for a high-quality stand. It's especially handy for the musician who uses a double bass drum pedal and wants a 3-legged stand. The two single-braced front legs keep the area in front of your stand quite free, while the double-braced rear leg offers the necessary stability. For extra stability the rubber rear leg also has a retractable pin so your hi-hats won't drift away from you anymore!
With the HS-1200 you'll never lose the clutch again
The height of the HS1200 can be adjusted between 80 and 92 cm and you have the choice of a small or large rod. The hi-hat clutch is then attached to the rod, and with its improved design will stay exactly where you put it no matter how hard the top cymbal is played. You also have the choice of felt or rubber washers for under the bottom cymbal, depending the desired feel of the hi-hat. Furthermore, you can adjust the power with which the top cymbal opens with a large dial that clearly denotes the current setting.

Yamaha put a lot of thought into designing this pedal. The footplate is extra wide so it feels light and easy to play and the heel has improved grip, while the front surface has no profile. Very smooth action and lightweight but still very sturdy. When it's set up and in place it doesn't move.
It has loads of useful adjustments and the new locking clutch is great.
I would definitely recommend this hi hat stand.
