General
The Yamaha HS8W is the largest monitor from the popular HS series. This series was designed with the home and project studio in mind, resulting in a collection of natural-sounding, affordable studio monitors. As far as specifications are concerned, the white Yamaha HS8W is identical to the black Yamaha HS8, and as such this active bi-amp monitor is equipped with an 8-inch woofer and a 1-inch tweeter.
Wide range
The speakers are amplified separately, meaning that each speaker has the freedom to focus on its own frequency range, which results in a nice, detailed, open sound. The frequency range of the HS8W starts at 42 Hz and reaches to far above the capabilities of the human ear, meaning that the monitor doesn't have trouble with distortion and won't leave out any details. The HS8W has a total power capacity of 120 watts and is incredibly versatile.

Fantastic studio monitors with crystal clear audio and perfect bass at room control of -4dB with monitors situated against narrow end of wall in a 10 foot by 17 foot room with acoustic treatment behind and at each side and sitting on nordell foam pads. I have checked the output with room EQ wizard and response is perfectly flat and there are no issues with reflections or resonance. The HS8 is the monitor to buy for sure.

HS8W. Zeer strakke boxen die een super neutraal geluid hebben, ideaal voor mixen en referencing. Deze zijn te verkiezen boven kleinere versies omdat de bassen zeer goed door komen en dus eigenlijk geen extra subwoofer nodig is. Meer dan genoeg power, je kan deze boxen ook gewoon in een grote ruimte gebruiken. Met een EQ (bv ook in Spotify) kan je alle kanten op en je zult niet geloven hoe je het geluid kant shapen, juist omdat de freq karakteristiek zo strak is, deze box reageert op elke freq. boost. Enige nadeel is dat ze wel wat groter zijn, dus voldoende ver achter je monitors zetten.

Je les ai prise en blanc. En plus d’être belles, le son est excellent.
Elles sont assez plates mais descendent dans le grave. Elles ont une pointe d’agressivité malheureusement balayé sur d’autres modèles qui évite certaines erreurs de mix.
J’en suis ravi et les recommande vivement.

Mijn KRK rokit 6 zijn kapot gegaan!
Helaas. Ik had van collega's begrepen dat Yamaha monitoren een natuurlijke klank hebben. Ik vind het belangrijk dat de monitoren het geluid zo realistisch mogelijk weergeven. Dat doen de HS5 monitoren.
Voor een kleine kamer zijn deze monitoren geweldig. Voor grotere kamers zal je een subwoofer nodig hebben. De monitoren hebben wel bass, maar je hoort weinig low end. Al met al kan ik er wel mee werken. Geluid is zeer transparant/eerlijk!!!!!

Uitstekende speaker voor de home-studio. Hij is niet echt klein te noemen en de kwaliteit is top, een extra basreflex is niet nodig. Ideaal geluid om de eindmix te bepalen. En met de Kemper pre-amp klinkt de gitaar als een echte buizenversterker.

Prima speakers, ondanks de lage prijsklasse. Ze zijn iets minder 3D in het geluid dan de klassieke NS10's, maar ze hebben wel een stevig laag en zijn behoorlijk capabel als nearfields. Deze jongens degraderen de HS5 tot multimedia speakertjes. De witte versie geeft een meer fancy look dan de zwarte, die ik persoonlijk wat plastic-achtig vind overkomen. Deze speakers vertalen de mix behoorlijk goed naar andere systemen, daarom ben ik er zelf wel fan van.
