This speaker is a member of Genelec's 8000 series. Genelec is known for their high-quality monitors and for their frequent use of die-cast aluminium speaker cabinets and the 8010 is no exception. At a glance, you can see that this speaker is right at home in the Genelec family.
The Genelec 8010: Small Size, big Sound
This speaker is the smallest model in the 800 series, but that doesn't mean that it delivers small sound! With its 3-inch woofers it delivers a comfortable maximum of 60 Hz and you won't have to deal with any resonance frequencies with this monitor. It features 25W speakers, adn is easy to carry since it'll even fit in a backpack, making it an ideal choice for laptop producers, field recording sessions, and on-site TV productions with a tight deadline.

I'm using a pair of these Genelec 8010 speakers for desktop monitoring of audio in commercial video production of all kinds. They are perfect for the job; reproducing clear and accurate spoken voice, music and location audio recording for the edit.
They are also compact and sit neatly on the desktop with a very small footprint. With their aluminium housings they're also very tough and extremely well built. Yes, they are expensive but worth every penny. I love 'em. A quality product.

Verbluffende geluidskwaliteit.
Het blijft allemaal zo beheerst in frequenties en zullen zuivel blijven.
Puur genieten als je je tracks op hoge kwaliteit aan het luisteren bent.
Ik heb een ruimte van 2 x 4 en is daarom uitermate geschikt hiervoor.
Ook mijn producties kan ik hier goed mee balanceren.
Je krijgt waar voor je geld al zijn de speakers klein zijn ze groot in het geluid.
Het blijft allemaal zo beheerst in frequenties en zullen zuivel blijven.

Een zeer solide compacte monitorspeaker die ik voornamelijk zal gebruiken voor mijn pre-setjes voor te bereiden of mee te nemen op kleine feestjes en partijen van max. 40 personen om deze in mijn booth te plaatsen.
Ik zal ze optimaal willen gebruiken wat ook realistisch kan zijn. Mocht dit laatste niet goed bevallen, laat ik dat in de volgende review weten. Ik ga ze inpakken voor a.s. zaterdag.
