The Audient iD4 MKII is precisely designed to take your recordings to a higher level. Get professional, console-grade audio from this compact, solidly-built bit of kit! Next to a console-based microphone preamp capable of first-rate conversion and fitted with double headphone outputs, the iD4 USB-C audio interfaces feature a genuine JFET instrument input to give your recording some of that warm, beautifully saturated tube-style sound. Loaded with the same ASP8024-HE chip found in Audient's full-size consoles, it's little surprise that the iD4 sounds thankfully familiar, and with completely separated signal paths, the level of distortion is kept to a perfect minimum at all times.

ScrollControl & iOS-Compatibility
The volume control of the iD4 MKII can be turned into a practical tool that essentially takes over the role of the scroll-wheel of your mouse for super-smooth, on-screen parameter tweaking. Quick fader adjustments, lane automation changes, everything's done in a heartbeat and with ease with ScrollControl. Of course, the iD4 MKII can be USB-powered via a USB-C connection and can even be hooked up to your iOS device for on-the-fly recording. ARC software and Cubase LE/Cubase LE iOS included.

Audient iD4 mk2 is a very well specified and robust audio interface. I am using it with an Apple MacBook and, after a slight problem in installing the optional software driver, have found it generally easy and quick to set up and use. I am still experimenting with levels, especially when mixing DAW tracks with live recording, but that is inexperience on my part. The unit itself looks very well made and I expect it to last a long time.

Een goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding is wat deze Audient iD4 is. Hij werkt erg soepel, sluit makkelijk aan en de geluidsweergave is erg goed. Een groot voordeel voor mij is dat het met een usb-c kabel wordt geleverd, dit omdat ik met een macbook werk. Nu heb ik geen usb hub meer nodig ;)

Outstanding. I had an Apogee Quatro, but didn't want to take it on a gig. This this thing is perfect for me. The sound is just as tight and punchy and it's much easier to use. I love the fact you can monitor the inputs without any fussing about in your DAW software. This helps me immensely on a gig (using an EWI through Apple Mainstage and a mic for vocals at the same time). I am a huge fan. Thank you Audient. Perfect piece of equipment for a live digital musician!!

Geen latency als je 'm aansluit op Garageband met een USB-C, wel als je het geluid via bluetooth op je Apple speakers wilt horen. Maar een prima dingetje voor het geld.

Omdat ik meer gebruik wilde maken van de gitaareffecten van Garageband wilde ik de interface die ik gebruikte (Irig) weer eens van stal halen. In de tussentijd een nieuwe Macbook gekocht met alleen USB-C aansluitingen. Dus de koptelefoonaansluiting daarop geeft alleen output, geen input meer. Nieuwe interface? Alleen met andere aansluitingen en dus verloopjes of tussenvoorzieningen nodig, nooit ideaal en een bron van storingen. Naar Bax Amsterdam gegaan en zij adviseerden de Audient iD4. Omdat deze wel een USB-C aansluiting geeft en gitaar en microfoonaansluiting mogelijk maakt, het apparaat gekocht. Dan ga je software ophalen en e.e.a. aansluiten en verwacht dan een zoektocht of het apparaat herkend wordt en de instellingen een beetje kloppen. Echter, plug en play. Geen problemen met latency, een kristalhelder, storingsvrij geluid. Aanrader!

Ik gebruik zelf deze interface samen met de Adam t7v monitoren, voor mij is dit het beste duo. Tot nu toe heb ik geen latency opgemerkt en de behuizing is vrij sterk (omdat het volledig uit metaal bestaat). Ik heb hem aangesloten op mijn pc waarop ik Fl studio gebruikt.

Deze interface is kwalitatief heel goed. Een goede stevige behuizing met steviger knoppen. Ook de grote volume draai/druk knop is stevig. Stekkers zitten degelijk in de aansluiting. De audio kwaliteit is super. Geen ruis of storingen op het signaal. Mijn Mac en iPad Pro werken direct met deze interface. Op mijn Mac werk gebruik ik Studio One en dat werkt perfect. Ook de loopback functie werkt heel goed. Waar ik het meest over tevreden ben is de monitor mix knop. Dit werkt super goed met de iD4 omdat in iOS de volume maximaal is en vergrendeld is. Met de monitor mix knop kan ik dan toch het volume bepalen van mijn monitor en het geluid van mijn iPad. Ik dacht eerst aan de iD14 maar de monitor mix wordt op de iD14 in de Audient software geregeld. Een fysieke werkt veel prettiger. De bijgeleverde software licenties voor oa Cubase LE is leuk maar ik geef de voorkeur aan Studio One. Ik ben dus helemaal tevreden met mijn iD4.

Voor dat ik deze interface kocht, gebruikte ik een focusrite 2i4.
Door de vele lovende kritiek op het internet dacht ik wel om eens te upgraden.
De audient iD4 zou een lagere latency moeten hebben, en algemeen een beter geluid. In alle eerlijkheid is dit bij mijn unit absoluut het tegenovergestelde geweest.
pluspunten:
-gratis software ( te downloaden na login op ARC site van audient)
-stevige constructie
-qua uitzicht een mooie unit
- mogelijkheid om te gebruiken op ipad
minpunten:
- latency
- de volume knop om te monitoren staat bij elke opstart van het systeem volledig dicht. Met als gevolg dat je weer even mag zoeken hoe hard je jouw geluid wilt. Bij de scarlett was het "set and forget"
- De update software is een nachtmerrie. Tientallen keren geprobeerd om een update te starten van de firmware. mislukte telkens (via mac mini M1 chip)
uiteindelijk deze ingeplugd in mijn vrouw haar MSI laptop en dit werkte wel
Voor mij heeft audient afgedaan. Voor sommige mensen zal dit een super unit zijn, maar ik blijf mooi bij focusrite.
