The Yamaha HS8 set + HS8S active full-range studio monitor set is a big one. And from a big set, you can expect quite a lot. This set is for large projects with a lot of bass, and the subwoofer of this set knows how to deal with that. This really is a full-range set, from 22 Hz to 30 kHz. Perfect for the heaviest EDM, perfect for the heaviest Wagner operas, perfect for the better pounding of Hans ZImmer. You get two stands for the satellites, and the right cables to connect the satellites to the sub. The cables between the sub and your audio interface are best taken care of by yourself. These are excellent! Overall good sound with no hiss. They look great and they're a good price.

These monitors are a wide frequency response, giving a pretty honest, flat sound which is great for all types of music!

Definitely recommend!

I wasn't sure if I should buy this sub to complement my HS7s, but I'm glad I did. I use my setup to listen to the music and watch movies, and it drastically changed the experience. First of all you really feel the music – the lower frequencies are reverberating in your body, even on very low volume. In general I noticed that I can listen to the music on a much lower volume and still enjoy every detail. It also gives presence to such instruments like double bass, tuba, drums, or lower octave of a piano. My HS7 no longer have to deal with these lower frequencies and at least to my ears sound a bit clearer.
One thing to keep in mind though is that it's very sensitive to the positioning (like any sub). If I put it in the corner a bit out of sight, then it creates a room mode in the opposite corner with greatly amplified bass, while there's almost nothing in the centre of the room. So need to play around with it, and adjust for your listening position. Something to keep in mind.
Overall very happy with the purchase.

1st Time I've tried this cable brand so its early days but plugged it in and it works so a good start, seems solid enough for the price but time will tell. For some reason I seem to kill cables at the XLR plug by what looks like excessive cable rotation and I don't mean spinning mike around my head on end of cable but cable always seems to get twisted breaking outer insulation and then a copper core gives up. Could it be because I don't have a mike stand?

Excellent! These are great monitors for recording and mixing.

This monitor has a wide frequency response and is not hyped, giving a pretty flat and honest sound - which is a good thing.

Overall good sound with no hiss. Good looking monitors at good price. Recommended.

Ik heb deze speakers nu al bijna 4 a 5 jaar volgens mij, wat toen een fllinke investering was. Maar ik heb er geen moment spijt van gehad, het blijft echt een top product. De kwaliteit van het product zelf en het geluid wat eruit komt is echt insane.
Heel eerlijk denk ik zelf dat ik deze gewoon voor de rest van mijn carierre kan blijven gebruiken!
De frequency range is zeker daar!
Er zijn al meerdere nummers mee gemaakt die de miljoen hebben aangetikt kwa streams, zeker het geld waard als je het aan mij vraagt!
