This DAP Audio horn is made to better express the low frequencies of a high-tone driver, or to replace a faulty horn. The HP-3 fits on the DP-8 and DP-12 piezo tweeters as well as on the DD-1 tweeter. By connecting a horn to a tweeter, the low frequency range of the tweeter will be more clearly audible up to five octaves downwards. It also ensures that the sound of the tweeter is audible over a wide angle, so that you will hear the tweeter even better at the sides and front of the speaker.

De bouwkwaliteit van deze hoorn is OK. Helaas is het ontwerp niet zo goed. De schroefdraad is te lang, waardoor de compression driver niet goed aansluit op de hoorn. De diameter van de throat is niet 1 inch, maar groter. Zelfs met een fatsoenlijke compression driver en EQ blijft het geluid schel.
