Now, we come to its seventh incarnation and, at the core of Kontakt 7, new scripting commands are being added all the time to the point where, as soon as the newest libraries start supporting those commands, you know you'll need to step up to the freshest edition of Kontakt. Basically, if you're still labouring with Kontakt 5 (which is still a formidable chunk of software), there's going to come a time when it just won't be able to get the best out of the newer libraries.
