We had to delve into the annals of Bax for a moment, because in the distant past we actually had a product page for Absynth 5 - so long ago that even our server doubts it. But according to the internet, Absynth 5 was released in 2009, based on a series that started in 2000. Then it's pretty special that a successor is released 16 years later. Native Instruments Absynth 6 is a fact, and the whole thing has been given a refresh - especially visually. Above all, it has been updated to the current times; sixteen years is a long time in the software world, so it was about time.

Features of Native Instruments Absynth 6

Absynth is known as the ultimate ambient synth, with all the potential to create grand soundscapes. Synthesis and spatial effects really go hand in hand here. Most notable is the improved preset browser (the grid of dots), which, thanks to AI, will make it easier to find somewhat similar sounds. If dots are close together, the sound will also be somewhat similar. At a time when polyphonic aftertouch is breaking through step by step in today's gear, you will be pleased to know that Absynth 6 supports such aftertouch, as well as MPE. Also nice: surround support, surely also appropriate in this day and age, especially if you're into soundscapes in the film world. And further: the legacy of Absynth will be familiar to many producers, it is one of Native Instruments' more popular synths, so many are familiar with the package. They will welcome the big six!

Please note that Komplete has different editions, not every edition includes Absynth. So be sure that your Komplete includes Absynth.
