General

The Palmer MONICON L G2 is an active-passive monitor controller (so use can be either passive or active) that undeniably deserves a place in your studio. Of course, it comes with a nice rotary knob that allows you to easily and ergonomically adjust the loudness of the signal. Typical product to place between your source and your speakers. But there's more! For instance, there are three inputs: a set of XLR/jack, a set of RCA / minijack, and Bluetooth. There are two regular sets of outputs (XLR), with another single XLR for a subwoofer. So the control panel lets you decide what you're listening to, and where it should go. Especially during mixing, it is very nice to switch monitors now and then, to check if your mix still holds up on another set. Buttons for mono, dim, mute and PFL. A headphone jack, it really is a very nice and complete product. May be on your shortlist!
