General

For a nice beat or groove, you need good sounds, of course, but certainly also a good working method, i.e. a good interface. Steinberg Groove Agent 6 offers both. Also in this sixth edition the necessary new features, such as several new sounds (new kicks, new snares, and more), a new input method (patten editor), and the necessary small tweaks. To pick out one: pitch detection, with an envelope added. This seems trivial, but how often do you experience that a snare has a very obvious identifiable pitch that harmonically interferes with the key of your music! So here is the function to fine-tune that pitch.
