For a fantastic price Steinberg offers six of its high-quality VST instruments in a single package. The Steinberg Absolute VST Instrument Collection consists of Halion Sonic, Padshop Pro, Retrologue, Dark Planet, Triebwerk and Hynotic Dance. This enormous collection of powerful and editable sounds can be easily loaded into a compatible VST/AU host like Cubase. It is suitable for both Windows and Mac, and comes complete with a USB eLicenser.

Halion Sonic

Halion Sonic is Steinberg's main VST workstation and offers a wide variety of versatile synths, hybrid and acoustic instruments, which sound very convincing thanks to the various acoustic articulations available. It's not really that surprising, however, seeing as the 13 GB of samples were made by the same Yamaha team that worked on the legendary MOTIF synthesizers.

Padshop Pro

For serious sound enthusiasts, the advanced, yet intuitive Padshop Pro has also been added to the package. This uses granular synthesis, which lets you create the richest and most spacious sounds using two independent layers, oscillators, effects and filters. More presets and Wave ROM are added to this enhanced version of Steinberg's VST Granular Synthesizer with the Zero Gravity expansion pack.

From vintage to modern

With Retrologue you can create that lovely vintage synth sound on your computer. This VST accurately emulates the classic analogue synths, allowing you to add fat, funky leads and bass to your mix. Dark Planet can be used to create more terrifying sounds that may be perfect for music used in films, for example. Lovers of dance music can indulge themselves with the extensive possibilities of Triebwerk for electro, pop and house, while those who prefer trance and techno styles should take a look at Hypnotic Dance.
