General

The kalimba consists of a wooden body with a number of iron tines of varying lengths and pitches. You play these tines using your thumbs, which is why kalimbas are also called thumb pianos. With the KA7-M-BK, Meinl released a gorgeous kalimba, with an ergonomic shape and extra wide tines for optimal playing comfort. This black model can play seven different notes.

Zelf vind ik de klank van de Kalimba niet heel bijzonder. En jammer dat hij 'maar' 7 tonen heeft. Heb zelf de variant van 9 tonen gekozen, die heel mooi klinkt!
