General

The powerful Behringer ULTRATONE KXD12 is a multi-purpose speaker that can be used for amplifying a keyboard or digital drum kit, or as a small PA system. Connect one to four instruments to the stereo jack inputs on the rear. You also have the option of connecting a dynamic microphone to the XLR input on the first channel. Another handy feature is the FBQ function, which lets you know automatically which of the 7-band EQ faders you have to adjust to compress feedback.

The Powerful ULTRATONE KXD12

With 700 Watts of power and a bi-amp system, the KXD12 offers up a solid, high-quality sound. A bi-amp system works by providing a separate amplifier for the woofer and the tweeter, in order to have the most optimal use of each speaker, which results in excellent balanced and a sublime sound reproduction. Even with all this power, the speaker has been kept lightweight, thanks to the class D amplifier. For more audio options, you could connect a subwoofer, link a second KXD12 (for stereo sound), or send the sound to a mixer.

Reputable Brands

The prestigious brand Turbosound is responsible for the outstanding bass and mid frequencies provided by the 12-inch speaker. Another renowned brand is Klark Teknik FX, which is one of the most well-known names on the market when it comes to effects equipment. They developed a 24-bit studio-quality digital effects processor especially for Behringer. You have a plethora of effects at your fingertips, including reverb, chorus and pitch shift, so you can easily adjust your sound.

Behringer ULTRATONE KXD12 Keyboard Amplifier

Purchased this keyboard amp to boost my Yamaha CLP 535 for playing in a medium hall (with a high ceiling) with about 90 people. I initially thought that around 80 watts of power would suffice, but after testing we found an 80 watt amp was running at it's maximum and consequently the sound quality was terrible. We opted for this amp and have been more than happy with it. It runs at about half volume with just a hint of reverb and the sound quality is wonderfully clear and precise. My only complaint is that you don't get a list of the effects available, just a very simple title for each bank of effects.

We're going to expand the set up by purchasing an active sub, which can be plugged into this amp.

Highly recommend.

Behringer ULTRATONE KXD12 Keyboard Amplifier
