General
The Medeli M5 is a keyboard with 61 full-size, velocity-sensitive keys, 300 sounds, 100 backing rhythms, and 10 demo songs. You can play a large number of styles and record and listen to them with the recording feature. You can also combine various sounds with the dual function, like piano and strings, for instance. There is a sustain pedal available separately, which is pretty rare for keyboards in this particular price category. It even has a USB port so you can hook the keyboard up to your computer for a direct MIDI connection.
General characteristics
This keyboard has a very clear overview so you can easily find and use the controls you need. Listen to yourself in real-time with the integrated 2x 3-watt speakers, or plug in a set of headphones. For keyboardists just starting out, there is a learning mode that even teaches you how to use your left and right hands separately.

ook als stand alone te gebruiken, bedoel als echt keyboard op zichzelf, wat inhoud verschillende sounds en ook beats ingebouwd. moet wel zeggen je kunt daar gezien de prijs ook niet teveel van verwachten, maar voor de beginner is het allemaal ruim voldoende, en de kwaliteit van de sounds zijn best redelijk, hoewel vergeleken met een basis Yamaha keyboard merk je toch wel zeker dat de sounds van wat simpelere bronnen komen, denk aan het verschil tussen MID en WAV geluid. het klinkt als een soort hoge kwaliteit MID wat eruit komt, en sommige sounds lijken een beetje op elkaar, maar ik heb het idee dat mijn exemplaar gewoon een soort bug heeft wat dat betreft, heb daar verder nooit naar gekeken om op te lossen aangezien ik het keyboard hoofdzakelijk als midi controller gebruik in FL Studio, en daarvoor is het prima geschikt.
dus voor mij al die jaren is het een leuk en handig keyboard geweest, kan het gebruiken in mijn DAW, en als ik ff zin heb om gewoon wat te pingelen zonder de pc aan te hoeven zetten kan dat ook gewoon met de ingebouwde boxjes.

Nadeel is het geluid wat prima klinkt alleen vrij zacht is en de goedkopere afwerking met name aan de randen.
Ander nadeel was de levering door GLS die te laat leverden en zeer onbetrouwbaar waren in dat proces. Klantenservice van Bax was zeer vriendelijk en hebben het goed opgelost.
