The Yamaha PSR-S975 bridges the gap between the Genos and the rest of the PSR keyboards. If you want an affordable keyboard with plenty of features, then this PSR-S975 is a perfect option. It offers more than many of its counterparts and has an enormous amount of instrument sounds, automatic accompaniments and unparalleled expression possibilities.
S975 or S775?
If you can't decide between the Yamaha S975 and the S775, rest assure that both models are ideal for use at home as well as the (semi)professional solo entertainer. The biggest difference is that the S975 offers more sounds (1,625 compared to 1,460), more styles (523 as opposed to 433) including various realistic +Audio styles, and more memory (768 vs 280 MB). What's more, it features the powerful Vocal Harmony and Synth Vocoder functions to give your vocals a little extra flavour!
Successor
The PSR-S975 features various improvements compared to its predecessor, the PSR-S970. It features more sounds, and in the PLUS category, there are popular packs like Euro Dance and Salsa. Furthermore, this workstation keyboard has extra free memory, giving you more space to install extra sounds. The Half-bar fill-in enables you to use half of a whole-bar fill-in for a half measure. Lastly, for precise, fluid expression with instruments like violin and trumpet, the S975 offers Mono Legato functionality.
