The S-500 Lefty is the consummation of Leo Fender's own ST-style guitar design. This left-handed G&L electric guitar stands out for its distinctive sound, updates like the stable tremolo bridge and its incredibly versatile electronics. Amplified highs and low frequencies come to the fore without losing too much emphasis on the mids due to the Leo Fender-designed singlecoils. These MFD or Magnetic Field Design single-coils give you just a bit more output in the process and are a lot quieter in both clean and more overdriven playing situations.

Tribute S-500 Lefty: even more sounds thanks to PTB system & push/pull functionality

The passive electronics allow you to get a lot more guitar sounds out of this lefthanded guitar by George Fullerton and Leo Fender. First of all, you can carefully shape the highs and lows of all 3 pickups with the PTB (passive treble bass) system. Secondly, you have 2 more tones compared to a left-handed ST guitar with a 5-position switch. Namely, when you pull out the treble potentiometer, you can still sound the 2 outer single coil pickups or all singlecoils at the same time. By the way, want to subtly bend your notes with a tremolo bridge? Then this Dual-Fulcrum vibrato, specially designed by the iconic Leo Fender himself, offers a lot of convenience in doing so and a lot more tuning stability and control.
