The classic foundation is provided by a mahogany body finished with a maple top, and has been given the '9-Hole' weight relief treatment, which thankfully eases the notorious back-breaking weight of a standard vintage LP, while the bound, 12-inch radius rosewood fretboard has been loaded with 22 medium frets and coupled with a Slim Taper neck-profile to make for superior grip-comfort, whether grabbing chords or hitting licks. This modern classic also comes complete with hard shell case and a Gibson accessory kit.

The Modern Collection Les Paul Classic: Supple Tone

The Les Paul Classic comes loaded with a BurstBucker 61R and 61T open-coil, zebra-style humbucker to deliver all of the supple '60s tone you would expect, but with the extra punch that a pair of bare, uncovered coils delivers. On top of that, Gibson have gifted this sonic beast with a bank of four push/pull pots, so every tone and every volume pot can be popped to engage the coil-tap, phase switch, or pure bypass, splitting open fresh worlds of LP-based sound and confirming the sheer jaw-dropping dominance of this flexible instrument.
