General
Ortega also has a guitar for left-handed guitarists that delivers that authentic, rich Spanish guitar sound. The Family Series R122L, with its cedar top, is very reasonably priced and also comes with a gig bag as standard. So you can pop it straight onto your back to take it to guitar lessons or on a trip. As well as having a fundamental tone that can be described as warm, sweet and classically familiar, the acoustic sound is pleasantly balanced. Powerful strums remain refined, whilst gentle plucks of the strings come through clearly enough. The extra-fast response of the top is partly made possible by the twelve-hole bridge. Furthermore, this bridge contributes to improved tuning stability, and this left-handed Ortega R122 features an extra-stable neck thanks to the built-in lightweight truss rod. This truss rod can, incidentally, be adjusted slightly in either direction.
