The Takamine GC1CE-NAT is the electric-acoustic version of the GC1-NAT. This quality but very reasonably priced 4/4 size classical guitar has an element and preamp on board, allowing you to use it amplified as well as acoustic. Ideal for when you want to record or decide to explore the stage. The GC1CE is a so-called 'cutaway electric' model, meaning it has a cutaway that makes it easier to play higher up on the neck.

GC1CE-NAT: specially selected woods

To give this Spanish guitar a full and warm sound both acoustically and electrically, Takamine has used specially selected woods. For instance, the soundbox is made of mahogany for a deep and sweet low end, topped by a spruce top for the right amount of mids and clarity. The 19-fret neck is comfortably shaped and allows easy playing by beginners and advanced players alike. The whole thing is finished with an attractive wooden rosette and high-gloss lacquer.

TP-E preamp with on-board tuner

The GC1CE-NAT's electric section consists of a built-in element and Takamine's TP-E preamp. On the control panel you will find two large rotary knobs to control the volume and timbre (tone). There is also a Mid Cut function that lets you reduce the mid frequencies for that popular 'scooped' sound. Finally, there is a digital chromatic tuner on board that lets you quickly and easily set and keep the guitar in the right tuning.
