Chauvet DJ GigBAR Move + ILS 5-in-1 LED Lighting System

Did my first gig with this at the weekend - great product and very simple to put up. Fits in the car perfectly but the bag the stand came in - the zip came clean off first use.

The remote takes a little bit of getting used to - press an individual light and they all come on (then you have to deselect every one that has come on) which is very frustrating. For a first dance - you don't want a full light show, you want to be subtle and build your lights. Not have to cancel a strobe.

Speaking of which, there's no strobe option on the foot pedal which is an obvious omission. In fact, the foot switch would have been better to have blackout, slow, medium, fast, strobe, all white.

I also found the ILS part of this is annoying because any other fixture I have which is controlled by a remote is going nuts - so the unit obviously broadcasts RF for other fixtures and I've not yet found a way of turning that off.

The brightness and responsiveness of the unit, however, is second-to-none and it looks perfect in a setup. If I were to go back to the engineering team, I'd beg them to make it telescopic so the sections could expand so it fills a bigger space, then retractable for transportation.

Overall a great piece of kit, some great moving heads, derbys throw plenty of light against all walls, the laser is a bit £15ish and the spots are ideal for a band (and no so much a DJ, so another type of light may have been nice instead).
