Shure SE112 iI-Ear Monitors (Grey)
These were under half the price of the E2Cs in 2000, so I dread to think what the comparative items would cost now, but my needs & my budget has slightly changed over the years, hence buying a different type of item. These are to use whilst working out, so I don't want to risk something really expensive getting sweaty or damaged in the middle of a set.
My requirements are:
- Stay in my ears when getting sweaty. They do this a treat & are held securely when I tighten the little band that brings the separate leads for each ear together under my chin. I am sure they would be brilliant for running in as they are secure and also very comfortable.
- Inject loud music straight into my brain. The E2Cs did this really well, but I'm slightly deaf now & lose high frequencies without hearing aids in - obviously impossible & undesirable whilst sweating. I've not messed about with the settings in the tiny Scandisk ClipJam MP3 I'm using these with, but even so I'm very happy.
- Not break the bank. I'm happy with the bang for my buck.
Overall, I'd say you can rely on Sure & recommend these if you're a slightly deaf sweaty cheapskate in his 50s.
Nice one Sure.
