The Vic Firth M223 Ney Rosauro signature mallets medium hard are part of a series of mallets by Vic Firth. Ney Rosauro is a Brazilian percussionist and composer who writes pieces for melodic percussion for solos, ensembles and playing together with orchestras. At the base we see a rattan stick, which is not only flexible but also hard-wearing. On this stick is placed a medium-hard, rubber ball wrapped with grey yarn. There is an additional stitching on this for extra strength, which can be distinguished from another hardness thanks to its blue colour. The M223 delivers a warm sound, which is particularly good in the middle and high registers.
