General

Originally, mandolins were bigger and tuned lower than they are today. The mandolin's predecessor was called the Mandola. Eastwood now offers this mandolin variety as a modern version at a low price, but with high standards where professional sound and build quality are concerned. This green instrument has eight strings grouped in pairs, just like on a 12-string guitar. The C, G, D, A tuning is a fifth lower than that of a mandolin, giving the sound more body and a more composed character. Its sound is picked up by a neck-position humbucker.
