The Placid Instruments PCR30 is a small-diaphragm condenser microphone equipped with an omnidirectional, free-field pickup pattern. While designed for measuring, the PCR30 can also be used to capture acoustic instruments in detail. In fact, thanks to its tiny half-inch diaphragm, a butterfly flapping its wings is enough to make the diaphragm vibrate.
