You’re probably already familiar with the PR 37 – or at least you’ve heard of it as one of Heil’s most popular live vocal microphones. The RC 37 is exactly that microphone capsule, but designed for wireless systems. The same dynamic element, the same internal suspension, the same excellent rear noise rejection, but now without a cable. The main problem with many wireless capsules is ‘cupping’ – that annoying habit singers have of cupping the microphone with their hand, which, with a standard microphone, immediately compromises clarity and sound quality. With the RC 37, this has virtually no effect on the sound. For singers who press the mic against their mouth during a performance, that’s the difference between constant loss of sound and simply continuing to sound clear.
