General

The design of the PR 35 is based on the specs of the PR 30, which means that you get a 1.5-inch diaphragm and an internal shock mount that keeps handling noise to an absolute minimum. Special attention has been paid to the phasing plug assembly, which means that any unwanted hum or buzz enters out of phase, resulting in a rejection of unwanted noise with a whopping -35 dB, so it doesn't get the chance to bother you.

Neutral response

The PR 35 picks up virtually no sound beyond its diaphragm, making it the ideal mic for vocals or instruments which produce sound directly into it. The technology Heil Sound uses also enables an extremely neutral frequency response that can also handle very high sound pressure levels without any distortion or clipping. What's especially impressive is the beautifully smooth audio response, without having to use phantom power supply.

Internal low frequency filter

The Heil PR 35 also features a low frequency filter that you can activate with a paper-clip or screwdriver. When you switch it on, it will give you filtering of -6 dB per octave at 80 Hz, while the entire frequency range from 40 Hz to 18 kHz is available in the UP position. To top it all off, this vocal mic comes as a complete package, with a SM-5 mic clip, a windshield, 3 colour rings, and a leatherette carrying case.
