Soyuz recently launched the 023 MALFA Deluxe, a hefty condenser microphone for studio applications. A nice clear sound, with air, and no shrill colouration. If you already have a recent 023 or 017 microphone from Soyuz, then investing in the Soyuz 023 MALFA Capsule will suffice. Effectively the same result, but at a much more favourable price. It is a high-quality microphone capsule, suitable for pop vocals, acoustic instruments, and everything else that may be recorded neutrally but with some extra presence.
