General
Shure came up with a great idea, and released several coloured housings for their BLX2-SM58 and BLX2-Beta58A wireless handheld microphones. On the one hand it's just fun to be able to switch between different coloured housings on your wireless microphone. On the other hand, it can also be quite handy for colour-coding all the microphones that are used in your band, so each band member will instantly recognise their own mic! Besides silver and gold-coloured housings, Shure also has red, white, blue and pink models available.
Easy to install
The coloured housing is very easy to install. Simply remove your microphone's regular black housing, and replace it with this more colourful one. This is not a very difficult process and can be done without tools for some models, though others may require a screw driver. If you do need some further instructions, however, take a look at the user guide on the Shure web site. Of course, the new housing meets all of Shure's high quality standards. It's fit for the BLX2-SM58 and BLX2 Beta58A wireless handheld microphones.

Voelt wel wat plastiekerig aan maar de gewone behuizing eigenlijk ook.
Het zou nog leuker zijn mochten ze dit aanbieden met een gouden grille erbij als combo.
Iets minder voor mensen met zweethanden omdat je dit wel snel ziet op de behuizing…
Een zeer mooi accessoire voor mijn microfoon. Ik heb deze bevestigd aan een Beta58A (BLX2) en gebruik hem met de band op bruiloften en verjaardagen.
Pluspunten:
- Iets lichter in gewicht dan de originele behuizing
- Ligt goed in de hand, glijdt niet weg
Minpunten:
- Het randje net onder de microfoon grill blijft in de originele kleur (zwart)
- De dop aan de onderkant van de microfoon is (nog) niet in deze kleur verkrijgbaar
Het zijn niet direct minpunten, maar zou het geheel wel mooier eruit laten zien.
Ondanks deze minpunten zal ik op termijn zeker een andere kleur erbij bestellen.
