The handy MIDISport 4x4 MIDI interface has been in the popular studio brand M-Audio's assortment for some time now. With an ever-increasing number of USB products appearing on the market, however, they thought it was time for an update. The MIDISport Hub 4x4 is a lot like its predecessor (4 MIDI IN, 4 MIDI OUT), but is also equipped with a powered USB hub with three 3.0 ports. The LED indicators clearly show which MIDI signals are coming in and which are going out.
MIDI and USB
The durable metal MIDISport Hub 4x4 is perfect for connecting up to four devices that are equipped with 5-pin DIN MIDI connectors. Thanks to the four MIDI outputs, your computer can use this interface to send and receive MIDI signals as well. When using only MIDI functionality, a USB connection with your computer is enough to power the interface. If you're also using the hub, you'll need to connect the included power adapter.
