The Akai MPK 249 is an elaborate MIDI controller with 49 keys, 16 RGB MPC pads, 8 assignable knobs and 8 assignable faders. As such, it should be no surprise that this controller can be used for a wide range of digital jobs. The universal MIDI functionality enables you to quickly and easily configure the MPK 249 for optimal use with your favourite software, and the 49 semi-weighted keys with aftertouch allow for great dynamics while your playing. The controller is equipped with modulation and pitch-bend wheels and with connectors for sustain and expression pedals located at the rear.
The Akai MPK 249: MPC Pads
Akai Professional is well-known for their popular MPC samplers. The MPK 249 offers 16 RGB backlit MPC-style pads, which are both pressure and velocity-sensitive and feature Note Repeat functionality. The eight faders can be configured for DAW mixers, but can also be freely assigned for other purposes, and the same goes for the 8 knobs of the controller. The Akai MPK 249 features a remarkably well-organised interface with prominent transport buttons, cursors and a data dial located in a central position. The clear, detailed LCD display offers a practical overview of recent settings. In a way, this controller could be described as the Swiss Army knife for modern producers!

Ik gebruik 'm vnl in combinatie met FL Studio. Vreemd genoeg is preset 7 (Reason) een beter startpunt dan preset 11 (FL Studio) zodat de Start/Stop knoppen meteen werken. Er zijn goedkopere keyboards maar ga goed na wat je eisen zijn, en you get what you pay for.
