It's not easy to find a suitable alternative for the CME Xkey 25 Black MIDI keyboard, that's how elaborate and comprehensive this model is. The Xkey 25 is very flat, which means you can easily throw it into your backpack and take it with you. As such, it will surely appeal to many mobile producers and DJs. It features 25 velocity-sensitive keys that even have polyphonic aftertouch. The latter is quite a rare features, which clearly gains the Xkey a few cool points!

The keyboard is even equipped with pressure-sensitive pitch bend and modulation. Of course, it also features octave and sustain controls. The Xkey is incredibly easy to use, and supports both Windows, OSX and iOS. Simply use the included USB cable to connect the XKey to your computer, and you're good to go. Firmware updates are also performed via the USB cable.

They probably won't be out until later this year, but CME simply could not wait to divulge this big news. That's because the Xkey Air 25 and the Xkey Air 37 are completely wireless MIDI keyboards! These Bluetooth-compatible versions of the regular Xkey keyboard still have the same low latency, so there'll be virtually no delay between the stroke of a key and the generation of sound.
