The CME Xkey25 is a compact and portable MIDI controller with 25 velocity-sensitive keys and polyphonic aftertouch. It boasts a design that will match perfectly with your Apple products, while being compatible with both PC and Mac, as well as Surface Pro, iOS and Android devices. It's a true all-rounder.

Design

The Xkey 25 features an attractive ultra-thin design, resulting in a low weight of just 1.3 lbs (600 grams) - that's even lighter than your average iPad! As such, the device is very easy to transport: simply stick it in your backpack or suitcase. Quite handy if you find yourself with some free time on your hands while you're on the road, you can use that time to quickly record a rough draft. Simply connect the Xkey to your favourite device, launch the app, and you're good to go! You can have a full-blown mobile recording studio in your backpack. The Xkey is very popular amongst professional musicians, but you'll still find plenty of use for it if you're just starting to learn how to play.

They probably won't be out until later this year, but CME simply could not wait to divulge this big news. That's because the Xkey Air 25 and the Xkey Air 37 are completely wireless MIDI keyboards! These Bluetooth-compatible versions of the regular Xkey keyboard still have the same low latency, so there'll be virtually no delay between the stroke of a key and the generation of sound.
