IK Multimedia iRig Keys 37 MIDI keyboard (USB)

For Windows and Mac users, IK Multimedia has developed USB versions of their renowned iRig Keys MIDI keyboards. Take the IK Multimedia iRig Keys 37, for instance, a MIDI controller with 37 mini keys that play quite comfortably despite their modest size. Thanks to its compact, lightweight design, this keyboard can easily fit in your bag or on your desk. Compared to the 25-key model, it offers a few extras, including pitch and modulation wheels and a pedal input. A USB cable and an instrument bundle are included.

Using the iRig Keys 37

The iRig Keys 37 is easily hooked up to your Windows or Mac computer by means of its USB cable. If you like working with DAW software, you can use the MIDI controller to play melodies and chords. Of course, you'll need a virtual instrument plugin, such as the included SampleTank SE. This bundle can also be used without a DAW, which is great if you simply like to play for playing's sake, without recording or producing tracks. In addition to its 37 mini keys, the iRig Keys 37 also has the necessary controls to operate a number of important functions. It allows you to adjust the volume, for instance, or to save/recall settings.

• The MIDI keyboard can also be connected to an iOS device (iOS 4.3 or higher) or an Android device (Android 5.0 or higher, or a Samsung Professional Audio device). To do so, however, you'll need a separately available Camera Connection Kit (iOS 30-pin), Lightning-USB adapter (iOS Lightning) or USB-OTG adapter (Android).
