Reloop Keyfadr USB keyboard and DAW controller

Step into your time machine, go back to the year 1995, visit the great music studios and tell the people there that, in the 21st century, we make high-end music productions with our laptops, using keyboard controllers that are no larger than those laptops. Would they believe you? You could show them the Reloop Keyfadr USB keyboard and DAW controller: it offers, among other things, 25 mini keys, faders, rotary knobs, DAW functionality and an arpeggiator. An amazing amount of features for such a compact and portable device!

Characteristics of the Reloop Keyfadr
The 25 touch-sensitive mini keys cover two physical octaves, but thanks to the octave buttons, the Keyfadr puts 9 playable octaves at your disposal. Faders and rotary knobs are also provided, which allow you to control the mixer of your DAW, or the parameters of a virtual instrument. The Keyfadr features an elaborate arpeggiator, the pattern of which can be adjusted, as well as its speed in relation to the internal or external MIDI clock. The controller is USB-powered, so you can use it wherever you like while your laptop supplies it with power.

Also useful in the studio
It is fairly obvious that the Keyfadr is a practical portable controller. That does not mean that it is out of place in a regular studio, however. First of all, its faders and knobs can play a useful part. Its keyboard keys can also be very practical for selecting articulations in numerous sample libraries. If you use this small keyboard to refer to the lower octaves (where the 'key switches' often are), you can use your Keyfadr, next to your regular/large keyboard, for these articulation switches.

Ableton Live 9 Lite
This starter version of the famous Ableton family is included with the Keyfadr free of charge. This popular, maverick DAW is highly suited for live applications, and for electronic (dance) music in particular. If you like working with this software, you could also consider an upgrade to the more extensive Ableton Live 9 Standard. This upgrade has been specifically developed for OEM-type versions such as this, which are included with controllers.
