Avid's Artist Transport is a compact controller for your audio or video software. It gives you full control over all transport functions, and it's possible to assign additional functions and macro commands to keyboard shortcuts. The controller offers the characteristics and feel of a high-end editing console, but comes with a much friendlier price tag. It's an ideal solution for mobile applications, and the perfect match for your Artist Mix and/or Artist Color.

The practical Artist Transport

Avid Artist Transport allows for easy project navigation, as well as accurate editing. Six programmable soft keys allow you to determine which application functions, keyboard shortcuts and macro commands are executed. It's possible, for instance, to assign a series of shortcut combinations that you often use to a single soft key, or to assign various functions to the data wheel and the shuttle ring. The weighted, optically encoded data wheel, which feels just like a high-end console data wheel, enables you to navigate your timeline, edit clips and tweak parameters with optimal precision.

EuCon protocol

The Artist Transport communicates with your software via the EuCon protocol, which is 250 faster than MIDI and offers eight times the resolution. EuCon registers which application is in focus on your computer, and automatically controls that particular program. In addition to the EuCon protocol, the Avid Transport also supports HUI and Mackie Control. You can connect the controller to your PC or Mac via its Ethernet port.
