General

This comprehensive Mackie MIDI controller is equipped with nine 100mm touch-sensitive motorised faders by Alps. When you change the Control Universal Pro's settings, a two-line, 55-character backlit LCD display provides you with visual feedback, showing you parameters like track names, channel metering, I/O assignments, plugins, equalizer and dynamics. For additional assistance, there's even a seven-segment timecode display.

With the Control Universal Pro, you're capable of creating an unlimited number of banks and channels. Each fader channel has a rotary V-Pot surrounded by an LED collar, and dedicated buttons for record, solo, mute and select. The master section includes buttons for navigating channels, and for software-specific controls like assigning I/O, sends, equalizer, dynamics, plugins, etc. You can use the MCU Pro with all main music production software packages.

Wrote the following about Mackie Control Universal Pro 9-channel digital mixer

Top apparaat - doe perfect wat het moet doen en behoort zeker tot de beste controllers op de markt. Je sluit hem aan op je Mac in mijn geval en je bent vetrokken met Logic Pro X. Maar werkt even goed met andere DAWs zoals Cubase e.d. Zeker niet de goedkoopste maar je koopt dit dan ook voor de lange termijn.

Wrote the following about Mackie Control Universal Pro 9-channel digital mixer

Ok de oldtimer maar ook de Nr.1 en eerste en werkende MIXER controller van Mackie. De standaard die het allemaal heeft gemaakt. Heb je Cubase dan is deze controller heel erg goed geschikt. Heb hem nu 10 jaar plus en nog steeds niets kapot. Het werkt gewoon en live mixen is toch wat makkelijker dan met de muis. Tevens kan je er binnen Cubase (en ander DAWs) erg veel mee. Het is al leuk om de het transport ermee te doen, wat ook meteen beter werkt dan met de muis. Verder ja niet alleen kan je normaal meer mixen, je kan ermee EQ instellen en zelfs plugins die modern zijn ook mee besturen. Totaal is deze niet zo snel te verslaan, Mackie Control Pro is nu eenmaal een standaard en heeft zichzelf wel bewezen. Duur? ja, maar het is het uiteindelijk wel waard. Er zijn ook andere controllers die nieuwer zijn, de Mackie is zeker geen miskoop!
