Novation Launch Control 3 MIDI controller

The Novation Launch Control MK3 is a MIDI controller that may find a home in many studios. Quite a compact little device, so it can find a place on any desk. What you get is basically a slightly smaller version of the Launch Control XL3 that appeared in 2025. The faders have been omitted, but what you do get are sixteen endless encoders, readable via the small display, and eight programmable buttons - in addition to the buttons to control the device content. Those endless encoders are ideal if you are working with more parameters than sixteen - and you soon get there these days. After all, they are never at the wrong angle of rotation, as is the case with bounded encoders. Move an encoder and the screen shows the correct position. Hold shift, move the encoder and you see the value without changing it. A small LED light under an encoder tells you what the value is based on colour intensity. Of course, this works mainly as a kind of visual reminder of which encoder is doing what. As is the rule rather than the exception these days: it comes with a nice stack of software, and all for this price. Nice thing, very nice unbeatable thing!
