Roland's Blues Cubes are modelling guitar amplifiers that are able to reproduce the sounds of tube amps in an exceptionally convincing way. After guitar legend and known perfectionist Eric Johnson had taken in their astonishing sounds, he asked whether the Blues Cubes could be adjusted to approximate his own signature guitar sound. Roland accepted the challenge and succeeded with honours: the Roland Eric Johnson Tone Capsule - separately available as an addition to your Blues Cube - offers sounds approved by Eric Johnson himself.
Eric Johnson Tone Capsule: clean, crunch and reverb
The Eric Johnson Tone Capsule is a part that resembles a tube and can be plugged into the back of your amplifier, making it sound like Johnson's vintage Deluxe Reverb (clean channel) or his 100-watt Super Lead amplifier heads (crunch). This Roland Tone Capsule effortlessly takes you from a headroom-rich clean to overdriven tone, to a lead with lots of overtones, fabulous attack and excellent sustain, ideal for rock, blues and similar styles. Additionally, it provides you with a smooth, musical reverb.

Achat effectué sans connaitre ce guitariste...hé oui chacun ses lacunes! Donc pas de désir de me rapprocher de son son évidemment! je désirais juste un très bon son clair,même si le son de base de l 'ampli club artist 80w est tout à fait correct(bassman).
Avec cette capsule le son est plus facile à travailler,avec plus de
dynamique,je trouve,et plus de chaleur! Pour ce qui est du son proposé en crunch ou disto,aucun commentaire,pour ne pas être désagréable; par contre sur le son clair l 'ajout d'une proco-rat ou d'une maxon passe très très très bien!
Voilà,voilà...ce n 'est que mon avis!
