Prachtige upgrade voor mijn stratocaster. Mooie kleur en ik vind de hogere frets fijner dan de lage die ik voorheen had.
Echter 4 sterren ipv 5, omdat het monteren meer tijd en moeite kostte dan ik had verwacht. Ik zou andere kopers aanraden om te kijken of ze de juiste stemmechanieken hebben, mijn oude paste er niet in en moest deze dus ook aanschaffen (Je hebt moderne fender tuners nodig). Tevens zit er nog lak over de frets heen die eerst nog (voorzichtig) verwijderd moet worden. Vooral dit vond ik nogal goedkoop van Fender. Dit slijt wel met spelen maar het klinkt niet mooi zolang dit erop zit. Dit moest mij verteld worden door een muziekwinkel medewerker, maar een waarschuwing zou wel fijn zijn.
Ook de topkam (nut) was ontzettend hoog en moest diep ingevijld worden. Dit kan je zelf doen als je weet wat je doet. Als laatste moet je zelf de string tree installeren op de kop.
Dus ja niet helemaal kant en klaar en kostte wat moeite, maar ben wel erg tevreden. Je kan wat extra kosten verwachten, vooral als je ook nieuwe tuners moet kopen.
