General
The iShotgun is an exceptionally good directional microphone from the professional MicW i-series. It features a unique design and super-cardioid pickup pattern, and it's suited for smartphones like the iPhone, tablets and DSLR cameras. This lightweight iShotgun has a smart compact design and can easily be connected to an iPhone or photo/video camera, in accordance with the plug-and-play principle. The iShotgun has a high directional sensitivity and therefore only picks up audio that's in a direct line with the microphone, while effectively rejecting ambient noise from the sides and back. It's therefore perfect for journalists and audio professionals.
MicW iShotgun: fit for all manner of devices
The MicW iShotgun microphone is compatible with various devices like the iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and Mac book. Other smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy and HTC Desire, as well as digital cameras by Sony, Panasonic and Nikon can seamlessly work with the iShotgun. It can also be connected to your PC or laptop with microphone input.
Use of the shotgun microphone
As the shotgun microphones are the most directional microphones, they are often used for TV broadcasts and on film sets, but they're also used in stadiums (for field recording) and at nature recordings.
