Japanese manufacturer Zoom - famous for its mobile recorders - has developed a custom stereo microphone for Apple devices with a Lightning connector. The Zoom iQ5 is quite compact and its Lightning connector allows you to make high-quality stereo recordings wherever you are, using your iPhone 5, iPad 4 or iPad Mini, for instance. Thanks to a rotatable microphone capsule, your Apple device always properly registers the sound source, whether you hold it vertically or horizontally.

Zoom iQ5: ultra-quick recording

This black edition of the Zoom iQ5 records audio at the familiar 44.1kHz/16-bit resolution. It features a built-in limiter and allows you to adjust both gain and stereo width. As such, the iQ5 is a versatile, practical plug-on microphone, that is seamlessly compatible with your iPhone, iPad or iPod with iOS 6 or newer. The mini USB output can be used to charge your phone or tablet while you're using the microphone. From interviews on location to pop concerts: thanks to the iQ5 you won't miss a sound!

Een fantastische condensator microfoon! Doet wat het belooft. Ik heb het uitvoerig getest op een Iphone6s en ben vol lof. De microfoon is echt een meerwaarde, ondanks dat de ingebouwde microfoon van de Iphone al vrij goed is. Maar het verschil is opmerkelijk; je krijgt een glasheldere sound. Zeker aan te raden als je video's opneemt, of interviews afneemt. En echt een must als je bijvoorbeeld live gaat uitzenden via de Facebook applicatie, om gericht te werken. Ook de app die er bij hoort is heel gebruiksvriendelijk.
Let wel, als je de Iq5 buiten gaat gebruiken, is een plofkap onmisbaar, want het kleinste zuchtje wind, neemt hij mee op.

Uitstekend product, zeer goede prijs/kwaliteit verhouding en precies wat ik ervan verwachtte. Erg tevreden! Ook prima levering van Bax. Let op, usb-kabel voor stroomaansluiting zit er niet bij, maar dit is een standaard maat dus moet geen probleem opleveren.
